Terms of Service

By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, including our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Glayrd. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

Glayrd allows users to share glaze combinations, firing techniques, photos, and other pottery-related content ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Glayrd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and providing the Services.

You understand that Glayrd is a community reference platform: other users may confirm, build upon, reference, or record results against the techniques you submit, and the platform computes shared reliability data from community activity. Because of this, when you delete your User Content, we will remove it from public display, but records derived from community interaction with it (such as confirmation counts or aggregate reliability data already contributed by others) may persist in de-identified or aggregated form.

You agree not to submit any content that is inappropriate, harmful, unlawful, or that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any party, or that you do not have the right to share.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to review, moderate, or remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we otherwise deem inappropriate. We use automated tools to help keep content pottery-related and safe for our community. Moderation decisions may result in content removal or account action.

You agree not to use Glayrd to engage in any illegal or unauthorized activity, including but not limited to:

• Uploading malicious software, spam, or automated abuse.
• Harassing, threatening, or impersonating other users.
• Posting non-pottery-related content or material that violates the rights of others.
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Services or other users' accounts.
• Manipulating community reliability data, rewards, or reputation systems.

Glayrd participates in affiliate programs, including the AWIN affiliate network. Some links to glaze products or vendors on the Site are affiliate links, and Glayrd may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through them, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our reliability scores or editorial content. Promotions displayed on the Site are provided by third-party brand partners and are subject to those partners' terms.

Glayrd may offer rewards (such as virtual gift cards) in connection with community participation. Rewards are offered at our discretion, may be subject to eligibility requirements, caps, and redemption limits, and may be modified or discontinued at any time. Rewards have no cash value except as required by the reward's issuer, are non-transferable, and may be forfeited in the event of fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms. Rewards are issued through third-party providers and are subject to those providers' terms.

All content on Glayrd, excluding User Content, including the Site's design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Glayrd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, or distribute any such content without our prior written consent.

Glayrd respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice through our reporting tools or by contacting us at support@glayrd.com with the information required under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), including identification of the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, your contact information, and a statement of good-faith belief. We will respond to valid notices and may remove infringing content and, in appropriate cases, terminate repeat infringers' accounts. Affected users may submit a counter-notice.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Glayrd, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Where an account is suspended, you may be able to appeal the decision through the process provided in the Services. Upon termination, the licenses you granted under these Terms survive to the extent necessary for content already incorporated into community reliability data.

Glayrd is provided "as is" and "as available." Glaze and firing results depend on many variables outside our control, including materials, equipment, and technique. Community reliability data is informational and not a guarantee of results. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the availability, reliability, accuracy, or quality of the Services or any content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glayrd and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Services, your reliance on any content or reliability data, or any damage to materials, kilns, or equipment.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Louisiana.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
